Grievance Redressal Cell
The grievance procedure functions as a vital mechanism to address issues between students and the college. It serves as a recourse for students who perceive unfair treatment in academic or administrative matters, including instances of discrimination. This structured process allows individuals to articulate their concerns while adhering to the college's established rules and regulations. The 'Student’s Grievance Cell' conducts a thorough, confidential investigation, carefully analysing the nature and patterns of grievances. Information is disclosed exclusively to those with a legitimate role in resolving the matter, placing a strong emphasis on procedural fairness to uphold the right to be heard and treated impartially.
Scope
Students are encouraged to engage with the cell to articulate and address grievances pertaining to academic matters, examinations, financial concerns, health services, library usage, and other pertinent services.
Objectives
To establish a systematic mechanism enabling students to voice their grievances and facilitate their redressal, ensuring a seamless tenure at the college from admission to graduation.
Grievance Redressal Procedure
Students are obligated to formally register their grievances through designated channels such as suggestion boxes or complaint books strategically placed in key areas including the college office, library, hostels, and the grievance redressal cell. The designated coordinator subsequently communicates the matter to the grievance committee for thorough examination and necessary action. A comprehensive report, encompassing received grievances and their resolutions, is then presented to the principal. The Principal, in turn, determines the appropriate course of action, and outcomes are communicated to the students in a timely manner.
Grievance Redressal Committee
The Grievance Redressal Committee, comprising the Principal, student welfare officers, deans, and a student representative, shall be established within the college structure. Any student with grievances may formally submit an application to the Registrar at the Grievance Redressal Cell for resolution. Upon receipt of the complaint, the Committee will promptly schedule a hearing, ensuring communication of its decision within ten days. The Committee is committed to expeditiously addressing every application, aiming for resolution not later than a month from the receipt of the grievance. Following the proceedings, the Committee will issue an appropriate order to redress the grievance and provide necessary relief. In cases of false or frivolous complaints, the Committee reserves the right to take appropriate actions against the complainant.
